Josie's 25th Anniversary!

Josies's, a fine salon, at 7300 Shelbourne St., facing Cottman Ave and 1 block from Ryers train station will be celebrating 25 years of business in 2001.

There are monthly specials available and begining January 2001 a monthly drawing is planned to celebrate the 25th year.

Coleen Schantz, Michelle Zoltek, and Eileen Taggart work along with owner Josie Poehlmann to make people realize that smaller is better. The salon business has taken on a different twist with the arrival of the franchises and day spas. Josie's goal is to prove that there is a niche for the intimate upscale neighborhood salon, where relationships and non-intimidation are some of the important elements you will find there.

The current color and perm services are offered. Education has always been an important element in changing times and technology. The stylist and client win as a result, with better experiences and results.

Education is paid for by the salon. This is to reinforce the commitement to stay current for stylists and clientele. Cutting skills have been mastered in New York and many creative and business classes have been attended, some even taking place on the west coast. Glazing and foiling techniques, along with various types of haircolor, are offered to suit each client's needs.

The salon has always been proud of it's reputation for quality and perms, which requires knowledge and experience.

Referrals have always been a constant source of pride for the salon. Clients are men, women and children of all ages. Everyone is cared for and important.

Scalp massages and treatments are available as well as waxing of eyebrows, chin, and moustache. Paraffin handwaxing is also available.
